The Utah Division of Licensing and Background Checks health care facility rules, Rule R432-100 General Hospital Standards and Rule R432-950 Mammography Quality Assurance, were filed as a Change in Proposed Rule (CPR) in the Utah State Bulletin Vol. 2026, No. 08, will be made effective on June 5, 2026. These CPRs received no public comment and no amendments were made following the mandatory 30-day public comment period.
These rules provides the following updates:
- Rule R432-100 General Hospital Standards
Amends general hospital standards to incorporate clinical laboratory testing requirements for satellite emergency departments, pursuant to HB 152 (2025 General Session). - Rule R432-950 Mammography Quality Assurance
Adds clarity to medical supervision requirements for mobile screening units.
The updated rules will be linked on the DLBC website as soon as the Office of Administrative Rules updates the rule, usually within the week of being made effective.
