Dear child care provider community,
The requirements for child care programs to receive approval for Department of Workforce Services (DWS) license exempt status, under the Utah Division of Licensing and Background Checks (DLBC), were recently revised to reflect required immunization record language to comply with federal Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) requirements.
Updates to the requirements include:
- Immunizations or immunization exemptions are to be collected for all children in care.
- Immunization records are to be accessible to the Office of Licensing upon request.
- Updated references to the Office of Licensing and Office of Background Processing from “office” to provide more clarity.
- Updated language to be consistent with “program” and “facility”.
The updated requirements reflecting these changes will be posted at dlbc.utah.gov soon.
