Office of Licensing

OL mission statement

To ensure quality health and safety services for all people in Utah.

The Office of Licensing (OL) is dedicated to protecting the health and safety of vulnerable populations. We accomplish this by establishing health and safety standards and conducting ongoing inspections and assessments at licensed programs for compliance with those standards.

In addition to monitoring for compliance, OL offers licensed providers guidance and training to help meet the established standards. OL also provides the public with accurate information about standards, processes, and provider compliance history.

OL is organized into sections based on regulation types. These sections are human services, child care, and health facilities.
